Check out some of the interesting odes written by middle school students!

Ohnha Ro of class 24 wrote a touching ode on her lilac tree. Look how her emotion is well delivered!

Sung Hyun Park of class 20 wrote an intersting ode about his baseball bat in a poem format. He used rhymes and repetition effectively. I also liked that his ode has a story in it.

Paul Lee of class 24 wrote an ode on sun. He merged scientific facts about sun and his personal emotion toward it. His last paragraph is the best!

Three Facts about Myself

Three Facts about Myself
-Sintae Kim

I have an iron core in my left calf. When I was in first year middle school, I broke my leg while practicing taekwondo. I was practicing one of the difficult kicks of taekwondo by kicking a human shaped model. However I missed one kick, and kicked the steel part of the model. At that moment, I hurt really much, but did not think that I broke my leg. Later that night, my mother insisted to go to the hosipital, and when I got the x-ray, it showed that my leg was broken into multiple parts. That is how I got my iron core in my leg.
While playing soccer, my friend got brain concussion after being bumped by me. It was the day of school sports festival. There was a soccer match between students, and I played as a striker. There once was a perfect chance for me: a very good pass came in front of me. I ran fast to get the ball, as well as the goalkeeper of the other side. In a moment, the goalkeeper and I crashed, and I rolled on the ground. When I stood up and checked the goalkeeper's condition, he was unconcious. He was moved to the local hospital and got the result that he had a concussion. Fortunately, he recovered soon and he is now perfectly fine.
A fire extinguisher once exploded in front of my face. When I was in elementary school my grandmother lived nearby my house. I visited her house one day and went to her balcony to water her flowers. Then a fire extinguisher next to the flowers suddenly exploded, spraying the white powder strongly on my face. I was so surprised by the sound and by the pressure. I ran to the bathroom to clean my face, but my face remained red for a while because of the pressure of the fire extinguisher. My family predicted that it exploded because of the heat of the balcony.
